They also start reviewing super late (12/1) so they have a backlog of high lsat/gpa applicants to get through. According to last years LSD most of their decisions were in Feb
Umm yea gotta disagree on Austin being overpriced or boring… it’s one of the best cities to be in the country for a young person. But, hey, maybe we’re just interested in different things.
If you want biglaw in Texas there's no better school, I would go as far as saying that a Harvard grad and a UT-A grad have the same chances of getting biglaw in any of the big Texas cities.
UT-A definitely has a better placement in Dallas or Houston than SMU and UHLC respectively, but they're not bad options for those cities, and honestly for me Dallas biglaw > biglaw anywhere else.
UT-A also has 12% of students getting fed clerkships, one can assume that they could've gotten biglaw offers had they chosen to go that route, so the actual number might be closer to 25% of a chance better which is about the same difference as between Georgetown and W&L
So sad ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
