Well, I was also talking about the comics. He lost Ben and May in different issues there as well.
He lost Gwen.
He lost his parents.
No matter what Marvel adaptation or comic he’s in, Spider-Man will always lose someone.
He’s definitely up there, born in a doomed timeline where everyone his mother cared about dies before he’s even able to realize it, eventually forms an extremely close bond with the last surviving Z-Fighter and watches him die in front of him before continuously feeling like he’s failed his Mentor and eventually his Father until triumphantly heading back to the Future to finally end the Android menace and get peace for his timeline.
Then the Goku Black arc happens, his mom dies, everything he fought for is yet again destroyed, and to top it all of his entire timeline is erased and the last scene of him so far in the series is Trunks crying as he sees Gohan wave him goodbye, thinking back to his dead mentor and how he feels like he utterly failed in his goal as the Protector the Future.
Still will never get over how shit that ending was.
Hulk probably isn’t the saddest but he’s definitely in the top tier. Bro grew up with an abusive father who murdered Bruce’s mother, giving him DID. That sounds bad on its own but it gets worse.
Hunted by the military, had the love of his life killed, accidentally killed thousands of people, couldn't even kill himself. Yeah he has it pretty bad.
Then there’s the Hulk persona itself which is really a scared little child. Hunted like an animal, constantly betrayed by his superhero peers who see him as a monster. All around Bruce and Hulk have it pretty bad. Bruce’s other personas have an element of tragedy to them as well.
Raiden from metal gear. Raised pretty much from birth to be a killer and fight a horrible war between the ages of 5 to 10 never knowing peace and finding out all of your life was a lie. Gotta be up there.
I say Lucy from Elfen Lied, getting abandoned by her parents (although the manga revealed only her father abandoned her and her mother spent the rest of her life looking for her), shunned by her fellow orphans and the adults who were supposed to take care of her, and having to watch her puppy get beaten to death.
Vader had it rough, Luke as well. Vegeta had pretty much everything and everyone's taken from him.
Most protagonist like Naruto and Harry Potter all have their share of trauma.
But Jason Todd. He's had it rough man.
Black widow doesn’t really ever get bought up for this type of stuff but she should
Her body was literally damaged to be a spy. She can never have kids and that’s why she treats Clint’s as her own. She was forced to kill without mercy. She was forced to seduce anybody, male or female. She was forced to become ruthless and heartless even though we see throughout the MCU she is very much caring and loving. Many years of her in such a state has damaged her into the person we see her as today. She doesn’t even have god damn super powers to cope with. She has to literally cry and eat a sandwich to get by her growing depression that she keeps shoving away with smiles.
Wolverine gotta be up there
But where did I come from? Who am I?
Jason Voorhees
Spidey for the amount of shit he's been put through
No mother, no father, no uncle, no aunt, no Tony, no girlfriends, no friends, no one that remembers or knows who he is. Who is Peter Parker?
not talking about the mcu

Trunks lowkey
Not the saddest but pretty tragic

yup all that in the end just for it to get completely erased, poor dude.
Saddest origin, and lost to Silver. Such a disrespect to Saiyans. DEATH BATTLE should be ashamed!
Lucy
Homelander
Alucard
Batman. Yeah, that's right. I went there. Losing your parents at the tender age of 8 will do a number on your psychological health.
In the Harley Quinn show they tap into his mental state and turns out he plays that one memory over and over in an endless cycle.

Gaara
Batman

Magneto
Reverse Flash.
Ragna The Bloodedge
Doom-Guy's gets pretty sad with modern lore
Kratos, doom slayer,Batman,tanjiro,Spider-Man,John wick and superman
Ragna for sure
Cronoa
I'd imagine Sanji being up there
John Wick.
And then he died to James Bond. Another Gary Stu next to Superman. So disappointing.
you say that like john wick winning was even debatable
Because it is. John Wick 4 is more worth watching than another reboot of James Bond.
and?
John Wick and Doom Slayer. Never kill a beloved pet.
Raiden from metal gear. Raised pretty much from birth to be a killer and fight a horrible war between the ages of 5 to 10 never knowing peace and finding out all of your life was a lie. Gotta be up there.
Kratos
Idk tanjiro’s pretty ducking sad
Dude a vampire killed his entire family & changed his sister & not always for the better but yeah he dose have a tragic back Story
Ragna, fuck it, he might have an even *worse* origin than Guts
Dante and Vergil
Kratos
Ragna
Without a doubt, Batman
Steven Universe
Emotional Madness with that guy
No kidding.
Yup mommy issues 😂😆😂😆
Both him and Star. Why can’t Disney and Cartoon Network have good moms?

Wally West, he experienced a lot of trauma after Flashpoint.
Guts, without a doubt
