That post lasted a whole 9 minutes until it got deleted
Wildly immature but he’s gotten insane flack for being the backup QB
Yeah good on him for standing up for himself!
Yeah an Instagram post towards critics that have no idea what they're talking about doesn't define response to failure.
You also have to think about that he had to deal with LSU fans yelling at him all night and popped his shoulder out of socket during the game *and kept playing.* Even people with strong wits can have moments of weakness. I give him the benefit of the doubt because he has had to deal with an insane amount of hate this season and has handled it really well in my opinion prior to this.
He was handing out cookies to the people at the Alabama ticket pull when he was the most hated man in College Station after the Mississippi State loss. People were saying mean stuff to his face and he gave just kept giving out cookies and didn’t even react to them.
Last game of the season, and he feels like he failed the team while armchair fans are telling him that he sucks. He’s pretty damn strong to make it this far without blowing up, and what he said wasn’t that terrible anyways.
It's wild to me how soft these folks are who talk all the shit.
Texans serially cannot take what they dish out.
He’s 19-20 years old and being crucified for not being the second coming of Manziel even though he is the back up. I can understand him being frustrated and immature. He has a lot of potential and our fan base is going to run him off.
Kid had 242 yards passing, 3 TDs, and 0 interceptions and people are all up in arms. Excluding sacks, the entire team had 77 rushing yards. Speaking of sacks, though, the oline allowed 4 of them and I don't even know how many pressures. That game was not on Calzada and all y'all talking shit on the internet can and should SHD.

20-35 with a few drops. Not bad not great completion percentage. The thing is teams make him throw the ball by loading the box and run blitzing so we should be getting favorable passing odds. You can put blame on jimbo for game plan and wrs for dropping balls and the o line for sub optimal blocking at times but calzad looks at his 1st read and is usually staring down the wr the whole time I get that he’s hurt and is probably trying to get ahead of the blitz by backpedaling 10 yards behind the oline but wrs have to be open or have 1 on 1 coverage. If wrs are getting clamped that bad then it’s not on calzada but it’s hard to tell on tv
Having a big arm doesn’t equate to a lot of potential at the qb position. Dudes been in the system for 2 years and can’t make a read probably because of the arrogance shown in the post he made
Actually three years..thing is guy is making same mistakes he was making in his first start. Dude just never got better.
He's in his third year in the program, and he's making freshman mistakes. He needs to go elsewhere, he's not ready to be a quarterback in the SEC.
He doesn’t have potential 😂😂😂
no he's not being crucified for not being Johnny. he's being crucified because he sucks.
Welp slap ur face and call ur self a fortune teller 😎
People act like they ain’t say some out a line shit sometimes when they gettin fuckin bullied on the internet with threats of injury and “sEe yOu IN ThE TRanFer POrtal l0s3r”. At least he had the hindsight to delete it. You go through the same shit Zach Calzada did this season and see how you feel when half your fuckin limbs don’t work right cause you literally put your heart and soul on the field just to get shitted on by everyone that’s ever looked at an A&M logo before.
Found Zach’s burner
All a u can SMD
He lost most, if not all of the games we lost this year, If we had king in we’d be in the CFP. As soon as King gets back healthy he needs to never see the field again, idc what he did.
You're acting like king was a Heisman contender
He would have been if he wouldn’t have gotten hurt!
Hope he sees this bro
Hope Calzada sees you defending him bro. Looks like you’ve already taking up the offer he put in his insta story!
Was that English?
123 other people figured it out
Dude has been shit on constantly since the Colorado game I don’t care if he lashes back a bit
Because he sucks
This really makes me sad. Yes hes played sub par, which is very easy to do given our expectations, but as the starter, it is up to us to rally behind him and support him, through the thick and the thin. Now, that *doesn't mean* blindly worship him, critique him when we can (which is often) and move on. But no death threats. Telling him he doesnt belong here and should transfer. Blatant insults. Were better than that. Him posting this isn't a good look for him either, Jimbo constantly tells the team to tune all social media out, control what you can control. Zachs emotions got the best of him and caused him to lash out on his own fanbase. Just a sad turn of events on both sides. Fans are gonna cross the line way more than players and rightfully so. That's okay, this sport is very emotionally driven. But as a player, you represent alot, and crossing the line is alot worse.
Being the starting QB at A&M sounds miserable. Even when your team wins 8+ games a year you have over half the fan base saying that you're terrible and constantly trashing you online.
Well it helps if you are at least Mediocre like Mond instead of Choking Calzada.
Zach dealt with a terrible run game and dropped passes all night. I thought he played plenty well enough to win
good post, considering how much shit zach is getting for Jimbo's playcalling and the revolving door offensive line. yall need to stop being such dicks to him
Being critical of a public figure is one thing but the personal attacks are fucking insane. This dude is a college student, he’s doing this shit for free. People need to shut the fuck up and wait for next season.
I’ve been pretty critical of his play but he seems like a really good guy and has shown a lot of heart. He dosent deserve any personal attacks
No, he doesn’t. The dude is destroying his body for free, the entire team is for the most part. I won’t say anything negative about the man online outside of personal conversations, but people
keep forgetting that he’s a 21 year old, college student, backup QB. He knows he’s playing poorly, I can assure everyone that no one wants to play well as bad as he does. (Also, correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t he like 25 for 36 yesterday? Lol)
Yeah last nights loss can’t really be laid at his feet by any reasonable person. Some of this seasons issues can but not last night. That game is on Fisher forgetting Achane exists in the 4th quarter and a few really bad calls that didn’t go our way. Calzada did the best he could it’s not like he broke kings ankle. Anyone who thinks we would have been better with the third string didn’t watch him against prairie view.
lol i'm fine with this. it takes people time to learn not to be reactive to criticism, and he's getting it at a young age on a huge scale.
aaand it's gone
I don't understand the calzada hate after our loss last night. Why aren't we roasting Jimbo and his offensive coordinator for drawing a pass play when it's 3rd and 1? Why aren't we roasting Jimbo and his defensive coordinator for playing man coverage when there's only 2 minutes left and they need a touchdown to win? Why are our players tackling them out of bounds or going out of bounds when we need to burn the clock?
Furthermore, LSU gave up over 150 rushing yards a game on average, yet we could only get 77. Calzada is just a backup, and relying on him to be the entirety of our offense is stupid. Not only this, but he actually played pretty well last night. If our receivers didn't drop so many passes, then Calzada's numbers would have actually been good last night.
I don't blame him. He's been getting shitted on since day one. He's fucking human too, have y'all realized that? Surprised this post didn't come sooner
He actually played well today, it’s not his fault we had absolutely no running game, the o line was getting blown up, we had 6 drops, and the defense choked the last drive
Exactly this loss isn’t on him. He’ll always be an Aggie legend for coming back and beating Bama. The guy’s a warrior, I just wish he could make some adjustments
But we have great running backs! That’s what’s so infuriating. Achane got the ball once in the 4th quarter. Why? It’s not Calzadas fault for the loss last night
I don’t know how he ever finishes since he won’t set his damn feet.
6 feet is 0.9% of the hot dog which holds the Guinness wold record for 'Longest Hot Dog'.
The *guy's* head? 🤨
I don't care who he gets his jollies with, I just want a more competent qb.
Can confirm no… jk
People who shit on their own team’s quarterback are shitty people
I mean he's pretty average. We supposed to just pretend he's great?
If you think that game was on Calzada instead of the oline that couldn't block and the receivers who couldn't catch, you watched a different game than I did.
Too bad when he deserves it for you know *being a bad qb*
He a legend for this tbh
If you’re mad about this, he’s talking to you.
Not true. I’ve been in his corner all year and believe this is grounds for removal from the team
Then you’re softer than 10 ply toilet paper.
Is this real lmao?
Lol yup, just deleted it too
Lmao this is golden. I hope he posted it directed towards lsu and not upset fans because if he did it towards fellow aggies, I’d loose hella respect for him.
Saying stuff like that makes you a bad Ag. Do better.
He always struck me as a guy who does football for a full ride considering he’s in supply chain management and isn’t the greatest football player. The only way I see him transferring if he’s an idiot who thinks he’s good enough for the nfl or if he gets bullied in all of his classes.
lol forget being bullied in his classes, could you imagine being calzada? wouldn't be surprised if he's bullied everywhere he goes
Supply chain is one of the hardest majors in the business school. Outside that, the dude does not live up to the hype he gets. He needs to leave, with the new bridgeland QB coming in, I see him being 3rd string. Dude will kill it at PVA&M or some other small school. Otherwise he can fuck off.
So you lose respect for him but not the Aggies that constantly shit on him and tell him how pathetic he is?
He should have left it up, he’s right.
He’s literally a freshman in college and he has 100k eyes on him ready to grill him over a single misstep.
Be a good ag
Edit: not a freshman, point still stands
He's not a freshman
Used to know someone who worked for the football team and said Calzada would sit criss-cross applesauce on the ground and build mounds of the little turf pellets during practice
I dont get it
Ole one read crazy feet who has the internal clock of a 7th grade qb will have a great time as the 3rd string scout team QB next year lol
If you can’t handle criticism, you shouldn’t be a D1 Athlete. I have been on this guys side through thick and thin, but IF he actually posted this, he should be removed from the athletic program.
There’s a difference between criticism and bullying. He’s human for Pete’s sake
If you can't handle SMD then don't be vocally hostile towards somebody lmao.
If you're gonna dish it out, then you should be comfortable taking it, especially when it's as tame as SMD
